Boda Boda cyclist knocked to death in Mityana

One person is dead following an accident in Mityana involving Mv Reg. No UBE 235Z (Tata lorry) and a motorcycle Reg. No UFJ877R TVS.

The accident happened on Tuesday afternoon at Wabiluuko Swamp, along Mityana-Mubende highway.

The deceased is the motorcycle rider whose particulars are not yet established, while two passengers on the motorcycle (all female), were critically injured and were rushed to Mityana hospital.

Rachel Kawala the PRO Wamala says the ladies were workers at Route 45 club Naama.

The deceased’s body was conveyed to Mityana hospital mortuary pending postmortem.

Both the Motor vehicle and motorcycle have been taken to Mityana Police Station pending IOV inspection, while the unidentified truck driver is missing.

The cause of the accident has been attributed to reckless riding by the cyclist.
