Pallaso is a Ugandan recording artist, songwriter, producer and videographer. He does various music genres including afro pop; afrobeat hip hop, dancehall and RnB. 

He sings in Luganda mixes it with English and Swahili which adds flavour in his lyrics. His musical journey started way back in 2000 while still at Leone Island a musical group which was owned by his brother Jose Chameleon. 

In 2005, Pallaso moved to the USA where he lived for 10 years before returning to Uganda in 2014. He joined TNS of Jeff Kiwa where he spent a couple of months before opening up his group called Team Good Music.

Early life and education  
Pallaso birth name Pius Mayanja was born on September 5th 1987 at Mulago hospital to the family of Mr Gerald Mayanja and Mrs Prossy Mayanja. Pallaso is one of the seven children born to this family. 

Three children from this family are musicians including Chameleon, Weasel Manizo and the late AK 47. This family has been ruling that the music industry for the last 10 years. Pallaso started his education journey at Happy hours nursery and primary school. 

After his elementary school, he joined Mengo senior school and Kasawo secondary school for O level and St Augustine College, Wakiso for his A level. 

He left for the USA joining Pennsylvania high school where he completed and studied a diploma at the college of direct studies.

Music career 
Pallaso Pius Mayanja begun his musical journey in 2000 under the musical group called Leone Island which was owned by his brother Jose chameleon and by this time he went by the stage name Lizard.

He released his first single called Mudigidde in 2003 which was produced by his brother Chameleon and it had massive airplay on Radio Simba. Omulangira Ndauisi and Bobo king played it more often. 

In 2005 Pallaso left for the states and started working in the United States and he continued with his music career. 

He released a couple of songs and while in the states he rebranded himself from Lizard to Pallaso. He collaborated with a local rapper called The Mess who was living in Lewiston Maine and released a joint album titled change in 2013.

In 2014 the self-proclaimed king of the East teamed up with Shaggy and DJ Hidrro they released the song Remain in our hearts which was dedicated to the fallen heroes such as Michael Jackson and Notorious BIG. 

Later that he returned from the states and teamed up with Radio and Weasel under the Goodlyf crew and released a song called Amaaso which was a hit and brought back life to his music career and topped most of the music charts in Uganda. 

Pallaso went ahead and released solo music projects such as Weekoledewo kaki, omugongo and many more.

The Goodlyf crew separated with Jeff Kiwa their manager and he teamed up Pallaso and opened up a group called Team No Sleep which had artists like Pallaso, Sheeba Kalungi, AK 47 and King Saha. 

Pallaso teamed up with Sheeba and released a song called Mundongo followed by Go down low which won the Hipipo music awards in the category of the best afro song in 2015.  

Pallaso later teamed up with King Saha and released a song called Tamale Mirundi and other singles such as kilabe embaliga, Sanyu lyange which was originally done by Sweet kid. 

In November 2014 Pallaso started working on a collaboration with Nigerian artist called Davido for a single called Twatoba which was released in 2015 and it was produced by Nash wonder. 

In that same year, he released singles such as ffe tuliko, Tiwa savage, tebakusoboola and many more. On May 2015 Pallaso quit TNS on allegations that Jeff Kiwa had killed his brother AK 47and he officially started his group called Team Good Music. 

He later carried out his first concert at Freedom city which was unsuccessful.

Personal life 
Pallaso is a father of two children namely Maisha Mayanja and Danari Mayanja but both children are of a mixed-race and their mum stays in the states.

Controversy
Pallaso was attacked by an angry mob in South Africa because of the xenophobic attacks. The incident took place in South Africa’s largest city Johannesburg and it was reported that he was hit with stones and cut with pangas. He had gone to shoot a new video for one of the songs. 

After all that he attacked Kato Lubwama who had said that pallaso was looking for relevance which didn’t go well in Pallaso‘s ears saying Kato should mind his business and leave his private life alone.

Pallaso was also involved in a scuffle with police and he ended up running away with handcuffs of the police after trying to be arrested for failure to abide by the covid SOPS. This incident took place in his home residence of Makindye.

On his return from the states in 2014 Pallaso fell out with the Goodlyf crew and they started beefing. Later he opened up beef with the TNS boss Jeff Kiwa over issues concerning the death of his young brother AK 47.
